about

/////////////////////////

12 years ago, I purchased a vintage Lowrey Holiday Organ from a Catholic church's annual rummage sale. An extremely heavy, nearly immovable instrument, the organ contains dozens of sound settings, two rows of keys, bass pedals, built in speakers, and more. It has remained in every home through every move that I've undertaken, as I can't stand the thought of losing it's signature sound.

One interesting characteristic of the organ is a low ghostly drone that occurs for irregular intervals after first turning the power on. Either through haunted church spirits or the more likely issue of dirty contacts and dried out capacitors, the drone rises and falls in pitch, emanating a dissonant D# note until it mysteriously decides to evaporate in a thunderous, speaker rattling finale.

These two tracks are dedicated to the month of October, and all the eeriness that comes with it.
